About the Program

The Montana Aligned to Standards Through-Year (MAST) Program features a series of short, standards-aligned math and ELA tests that are administered throughout the year to students in grades 3-8. This assessment system offers useful flexibility in test administration and allows for through-year alignment with taught curriculum. MAST provides educators with valuable data and a comprehensive model of student learning over the course of the school year, all while meeting federal testing requirements.

Start with our What Is MAST overview to learn the purpose of the assessment, how it works, and what to expect throughout the testing windows.
