About the Program

The Montana Aligned to Standards Through-Year (MAST) Program features a series of short, standards-aligned math and ELA tests that are administered throughout the year to students in grades 3-8. This assessment system offers useful flexibility in test administration and allows for through-year alignment with taught curriculum. MAST provides educators with valuable data and a comprehensive model of student learning over the course of the school year, all while meeting federal testing requirements.

Supporting resources will soon be available on the MAST Portal under Through-Year Reporting. Once available, these reports will be housed in the Kite Educator Portal and can be found by navigating to Interim > View Results, click on the small blue dropdown arrow on the Testlet Report tab, and finally, select the desired report, fill out the organizational dropdowns then click on Search.
